On day 16 we started our hunt for a place to live. I had started trying to find a place to rent from Florida about 6 weeks ago with little success. We are finding that success is no better in person. Today is day 20 and we are still in the Comfort Inn. We have had a bit more success today thanks to the help of the ladies at CDE (where I will be working). We have a couple of good prospects now, but the journey once we got to Fairbanks has been quite stressful on all of us. Thor has also been quite stressed with a great deal of separation anxiety setting in. He has had a tough time adjusting, but he seems to be doing much better today. I will write more late about the last few days, but for now know we are safe in Fairbanks and still homeless.
Good night!

Had any luck yet finding a place to stay? Vacationing in a hotel for a few days is one thing, having to stay in one is quite another. (Just think, Scott, you have turned into your mother after all! Uff da! J/K!) This is turning into more of an adventure than you thought it would be, but what memories you’ll have.
We’re all following your progress with this blog so keep us posted when you can.

So glad that you guys made it okay. Just caught up on the last 5 to 6 days. It sounds as though you had a great journey. Good luck on the house hunting - I know that you’ll find something soon.
Take care and hang in there!!!
LOL,
Trish

Did you check out the comment left about the possible house for rent on your blog under a previous day. I can’t remember which one it was one though. Thought that would be really something if that would have worked out since it was in Fairbanks and all. What a coincidence that would have been. We made our 1,739 mile trip around the North Shore and got home Saturday. I can’t imagine traveling as far as you did but we had some beautiful weather for being on our motorcycles. Take care and find a home for all of you.
Love,
Joni
