Many of you have been looking here only to find that I am behind in posting. So, I am working on getting things updated so all of you who do check here to see how Scott and I are doing. I 0plan to post a series of messages in the next few days to catch up.

Scott and I have been enjoying the Wisconsin summer here in Madison. We both still really like our jobs and the community quite a bit. Scott’s situation has settled into a pretty basic routine which let him get off by 3:30 everyday. This allows time for him to go to the gym and to get some physical therapy for the problems he has had in his groin and hip. He hopes to get rid of the problem and get in better shape for the Winter Hockey and Bowling seasons.

I am working regularly and loving what I do. The University of Wisconsin-Madison is a very big place and it is taking sometime to get my bearings, but all is well. Next week we have a large conference that we put on (The 24th Annual Distance Teaching and Learning Conference). So, this in conjunction with running the educational programming in the Distance Education Certificate program is keeping me busy.

We also bought some property on the West side of Madison where we are starting to build a house. I will put some pictures in the Gallery (on the right) of the property. Our plans are about set. When they are done I may put a PDF of them here so you can look. We found a builder that we really like. We seem to be on the same wave length and they have some good ideas on how to economize without loosing quality. We had hoped to be in the house by the time our lease ran out here at the condo, but it will not happen as we have not even broken ground. So, we signed another 8 month lease and will be in town for the winter. I am hoping we can move in by February or March at the latest, but moving in Winter may be a real pain if we get a lot of snow again.

Well, that is the gist of the first part of the summer. I will write more about the rest soon. Take care - S&S
