As promised I will try and keep everybody posted on how I am doing. I have received some training on entering data but still need help with uploading photos to update our blog gallery. I have a lot of new pictures , but you will have to wait until I get some more training.
First and foremost I want to send along a very heartfelt thank you to all of our families, friends, co-workers as well as anyone that had there lives “touched” by Shauna. For those of you that may not know, Shauna lost her battle with cancer on May 7, 2009. Shauna meant everything to me and my goal from here on out is to make sure that I make her proud of me, for when we meet again. The last month and a half has been the most difficult time of my life. I am making progress, taking one step at a time, trying to stay positive. Shauna would have expected that of me. I am definitely smiling more often with less tears. Today has been a tough day though, I really don’t know why. I had a very good day yesterday, went shopping and found a beautiful desk for the office and it was priced at 50% off. Shauna had told me all about the Wii game so I went and got one of those too! Probably going to need some training on this too!
Shauna was an absolutely amazing woman, and I miss her dearly. My love for her will never die! My plan is to stay in Madison and live in our new home.
I just wanted to let everyone know that I am trying to get the blog updated. I will write more later.
Thanks again for all the love, compassion and support from everyone.
Love, Scott Schullo

Oh Scott, my heart breaks for you! So many tears! It just does not seem fair! Shauna was a very special person and we are all better having known her. It is great that you are going to keep her blog going and I look forward to keeping up with you and like Kim said, we will be happy to come down and move into the new house, what month works for you??? LOL. I really hope to make it to Madison someday, I’ve never been there! Cheese is what I think about….hmmm, must be some kind of advertising campaign! Take care of yourself, remember to eat and know that we will always remember Shauna with you, call anytime and include us in your plans for your trip back to Alaska next summer! –Barb

Scott, I am so sorry. She worked for me at USF back in the days when she was finishing her Master’s degree. Such a sweetheart!! I am thankful that I got to see her when she visited San Jose last fall. She was so kind to take the time to meet with me! My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Scott,
Thank you for your message. It made me feel a little bit in touch with Shauna still. I have missed her since she left C21TE, but kept in touch occasionally with emails or by checking on her blog. My thoughts and prayers are with you. We at USF owe her a great deal. I am so glad I got to work with her. It was a wonderful experience. I wish you the best and hope you are able to heal your pain as Shauna would want you to do. It is a slow process, but it will happen.

Scott,
I’m happy to see that you are able to update this blog. I must admit I got a bit of a twinge when I saw that this was a posting from Shauna. Of course, I knew that wasn’t possible, but it’s probably similar to the feeling you got when you got a voice mail message from Shauna’s phone.
I’m really proud of how you’ve been handling everything. I find myself tearing up quite a bit lately when I think of you and all that is going on, so I can only imagine how difficult it is for you. I’m really sorry that you haven’t been getting more support (you know what I mean).
I wish virtual hugs were possible.
We’ll talk again soon.
Love you, Deb
P.S. In case I forgot to mention it lately, I’m glad you’re my brother!

Scott,
I am happy that you are able to post to your blog again (for both of you). Did USF give you the info you needed or did you create a work around? I still would like to know their policy on such matters. When my cousin John passed away we could not get the pass word to the family Genealogy web site that he built.
I am glad to see you doing things improve your life.
May I suggest that you honor Shauna by building a time line of her life. Its a forerunner to a Biography. It would be a great read I am sure. In the short run it may give you a way to focus you energy and get closer to Shauna at the same time. Those of us who only knew here as a teacher would love to know her better. So I am sure there will be an audience out here for such a work.
